Configuration Management SME

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Configuration Management SME to join a newly awarded multi year program with a long term partner! This is an opportunity for a configuration manager or SME to support both infrastructure and software configuration management in a cloud environment while using versioning strategies for a distributed source control repository with Git. The most ideal candidate will be someone who is very familiar with change management processes. This position will be fully remote.

Responsibilities of Configuration Management SME:

• Maintaining configuration of cloud-based environments including using IaaS (Infrastructure as a Code) & Using Ansible or other open-source technologies across multiple environments
• Implement Change Management Plan processes in a government environment
• Upholding standards for Semantic Versioning and understanding the relay process
• Manage & have Identification of configuration items from client and customer
•  Develop process to approved & tested configurations with compliance to different solutions

Qualifications of Configuration Management SME:

• 8+ years of experience in configuration and change management process and techniques with executing security plans (In Government Environment)
• 8+ years of experience with identification of controlled artifacts and implementation of standard Change Management control processes
• 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, supporting, monitoring and maintaining systems using Ansible or other open-source technologies across multiple environments including cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Intermediate level expertise managing integrated ALM solutions (e.g. JIRA integration with Confluence, Git/Bitbucket)
•  Experience in deploying Cloud platform-as-a-service with Amazon AWS

Compensation:

·            Salary: $125,000-$145,000
