Data Center Installation Technician

Red Oak, TX

Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

We are hiring Data Center Installation Technicians to support a large-scale data center construction project in Red Oak, TX.

This position is ideal for candidates with cable installation, telecommunications, construction, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or other hands-on experience. We are looking for individuals who work well with tools, learn quickly, and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route copper and fiber optic cabling
• Install and secure cables throughout the facility
• Perform basic cable terminations and punch-downs
• Assist with rack and ladder rack installation
• Follow project drawings and installation standards
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Support testing and troubleshooting activities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and work in a construction environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Cable pulling experience
• Low-voltage or telecommunications experience
• Experience with Cat5, Cat6, or fiber cabling
• Experience terminating copper or fiber
• Data center experience
• Scissor lift certification
• Bilingual Spanish/English

Project Details

• 3-4+ month project
• Day and night shifts available
• Significant overtime available

Employment Requirements

• Background check required
• 10-panel drug screen required
• Random drug testing throughout the project

Compensation

• Salary: $20 - $28 an hour, with 10%-night shift differential.
• Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Sick Leave (as required by law).
