USPS SW Systems Analyst

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Sr. Software Systems Analyst for a USPS program in Merrifield, VA. The role is hybrid. The Software systems Analysts will be working on the software and data for the Mobile Delivery Devices, the handheld scanner used by the United States Postal Service (USPS). This device is utilized by postal workers to scan packages and letters, track deliveries, and manage routes effectively. 

As a Software Systems Analyst, you will :

• Analyze, enhance, install, test and modify enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems
• Develop requirements, workflow and systems analysis
• Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities
• Establish standards for development and maintenance of new and existing products.

Experience required:

• Network experience, general knowledge of routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Experience with network packet analyzer (Wireshark)
• Experience with PCAP file analysis
• Hardware experience, familiar with routers, switches, experience with mobile computers is a plus
• Basic programming skills (Real Time operating Software programming)
• Proficient in excel, good data analysis skills
• Completed understanding and wide application knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts.

The role requires the ability obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Salary range: $115,000 - $125,000
