Network Design Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Design Engineer to join an opportunity supporting a long term government program that is fully-funded through 2028. This position is on-site in Quantico, Virginia. The Network Design Engineer will support the Marine Corps existing network architecture and assist with future planning for network optimization and modernization.

Responsibilities for the Network Design Engineer include:

• Support network engineering activities including router/switch configurations, network architecture reviews, and network hardware troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and design LAN/BAN/WAN and Data Center Switching design, integration, and implementation
• Design, develop, and integrate application networking ports and protocols, PKI certficates and network accounts, and IA.
• Provide multivender solutions using Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and other technologies.

Required Qualifications for the Network Design Engineer include:

• 8+ years of experience with IT focused on Networking
• Experience with firewall configuration/maintenance, switches design and implementation, VOIP, VLAN, etc.
• Active IAT Level III Certification (CASP+, CISM, CISA, CISSP, CCNP Security)
• Active Secret Clearance Required.

Compensation for the Network Design Engineer include:

• $100,000-155,000 **Depends on experience**
