REMOTE Software Architect

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Software Architect to join a fast-growing organization based in Chantilly, VA. The Software Architect will lead the development, maintenance, and testing of microservices built on the MEAN stack. This position will be primarily REMOTE, with a requirement for local candidates who can travel onsite as needed.

Responsibilities of the Software Architect:

• Make architectural decisions including selections of libraries, frameworks, cloud platforms, and 3rd party services to leverage
• Design and develop internal frameworks for the development team to leverage
• Design, develop, maintain, test, and document high quality software
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to the team 
• Prepare releases and aide the CloudOps team in DevOps infrastructure

Qualifications of the Software Architect:

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing web-based solutions
• Experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, and Node)
• Experience developing RESTful webservices
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building solutions on AWS
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, etc.)

Compensation for the Software Architect:

• Salary: $165,000-185,000/year **flexible based on experience**
• Full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays)
• Primarily REMOTE!!!
