Network Software Engineer (CLEARANCE REQUIRED)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Software Engineer for a Direct-Hire job opportunity, joining our DoD client, NAVAIR, located in Lexington Park, MD. This position will begin onsite but offers remote flexibility. The Network Software Engineer will be responsible for crafting advanced software for a cutting-edge synthetic training environment. Your work will be seamlessly integrated into flight simulators, enhancing pilot training by simulating potential threats.

MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE 

Responsibilities for the Network Software Engineer:

·       Evaluate and review code written in C++, Python 3, and HTML.

·       Develop parallel processes, including threading and inter-process communication.

·       Create web-based applications using various development technologies.

·       Collaborate with team members to design and implement future enhancements.

·       Familiarity with time-series analysis.

·       Craft advanced software for a cutting-edge synthetic training environment.

·       Integrate work seamlessly into flight simulators to enhance pilot training by simulating potential threats.

·       Engage in software development, integration, customer training, and engaging demonstrations.

Qualifications for the Network Software Engineer:

·       Minimum 3 years of professional experience.

·       Experience with sockets (unicast, multicast, TCP) and general network programming, including byte-swapping and data serialization.

·       Proficiency in scripting, database management, and programming languages such as C++.

·       Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts.

Compensation of the Network Software Engineer:

• Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 **depending on experiences & non-negotiable above this range**
