Sr. IT Project Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is in need of a Sr. IT Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). We are looking for exceptional IT Project Management Leadership that can be impactful in a fast paced infrastructure environment supporting critical scientific research. This is hybrid position in Rockville, MD. The Sr. IT Project Manager will collaborate with clients to define and document IT project scope. priority, budgets and schedules and oversee implementation of projects.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading multiple projects of various sizes and levels of complexity   
• Providing timely communication on project status, issues, risks and achievements; represent projects during internal and customer-facing reviews.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation using Microsoft Project, MS Teams, ServiceNow and other standard technical management tools.
• Leading a matrixed project team from 3 – 20 people
• Communicating with all levels of management, technical team members, and user community
• Keeping up-to-date on industry trends and innovations and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes

Requirements Include:

• BA/BS or equivalent and 8 years of experience or a MA/MS and 6 years of experience
• Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience, including managing scope, risk, and schedule in an IT environment
• Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project and/or Trello
• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills to manage project
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to various audiences
• Ability to obtain a NIH Public Trust

Compensation Includes:

• $125,000 - $145,000 *depending on experience*
• Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays, etc.
