VMWare Administration

• Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a VMWare Administrator to join a non-profit organization located in Quantico, VA. The VMWare Administrator will be responsible for Administration for customers’ virtualization requirements.

Responsibilities of the VMWare Administrator include:

• As a VMware Administrator, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a VMware Administrator joining our team to be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges

How a VMware Administrator will Make an Impact:

• Administration for customers’ virtualization requirements
• Daily support, maintenance, and design services for VMware virtualization across four separate enterprise domains
• Daily interaction with network and storage administrators to ensure full operability of virtualization services
• Plans and implements system security patches as well as upgrades as required
• Windows Domain enterprise support as it relates to VMware operations as well as supporting the customer with vulnerability management, outage, and troubleshooting 

Education:

• BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Security+

Required Experience:

• Experience with in-depth knowledge/experience of VMware virtualization with a minimum level of ESXi 5.5 up to 7.x in both stand alone and VCenter environments to include:

o VCenter operations

o vMotion

o Host and Datastore Clustering

o VCenter HA and DRS

o Guest VM resource utilization and management

Compensation for the VMWare Administrator include:

• Salary Range: $110-140,000

• Contract-to-Hire
