Zachary Piper Solutions Services has a contract supporting the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, which aims to conduct biomedical research that is responsive to Department of Defense and US Army requirements and delivers life saving products including knowledge, technology and medical material that sustain the combat effectiveness of the Warfighter.  This task order provides personnel who can provide ongoing maintenance and support for the ARMoR-D (Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring and Research Program) application. This includes, but is not limited to, support and implementation of computing environments; software patches; bug fixes; application feature enhancements; end-user support and training; system documentation; and new application feature creation and implementation. The contractor personnel are expected to provide support for this task Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:45 AM EST – 6:45 PM EST (Deliverable 15). Duties in this area will be assigned by the ARMoR D IT manager.

 

We are seeking a Web Application Developer to support a contract with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring, MD.  The Web Application Developer will be responsible for making upgrades and enhancements to a newly designed application that is responsible for processing and making accessible data resulting from clinical trials. 

 

SR. WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER (.NET) – SILVER SPRING, MD

 

Qualifications

  1. M.S. BA /BS degree preferred
  2. 7+ years of experience with building Web-based applications and Web sites
  3. Hands on experience with Object Oriented design and development.
  4. Recent experience with building Web-based applications and Web sites for the DoD preferred.
  5. Experience with Entity Framework
  6. Security+ and an additional WRAIR IA accepted certification (must gain and maintain elevated user privileges on the WRAIR LAN).
  7. Proficiency in .NET, Javascript, C#, MVC, SQL, LINQ
  8. MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

 

Responsibilities

  1. Administers, manages, designs, and documents systems required for MRSN intranet and internet activities.
  2. Performs technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and management of internet technologies.
  3. Installs, configures and maintains IIS web services
  4. Monitors the functionality, security, and integrity of internet services.
  5. Resolves technical problems with the design and delivery of internet services.
  6. Researches and evaluates new technologies for web-based application development.
  7. Designs a web-based data portal for de-identified patient demographics, bacterial drug sensitivity profiles, and bacterial genomic characterization.
  8. Leads the development of web-based software applications utilizing .NET, HTML, Javascript, C#, MVC, SQL, LINQ, and other technologies
  9. Implements robust, secure authentication and authorization systems for role-based access to the data portal.
  10. Integrates the data portal with existing MRSN relational databases.
  11. Provides training materials for users of the data portal.
  12. Reviews technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff.
  13. Provides all job-related progress reports/technical reports as requested.
  14. Provide technical assistance and participate on proposal writing projects when applicable.
  15. Attends relevant seminars, scientific conferences, and meetings for the MRSN program.
  16. Ensures that IT programs comply with Federal, DA and MEDCOM regulations and policies.
  17. Collects and analyzes internet service usage and performance statistics.
