Network Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to join a large government contracted located in Quantico, VA. The Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and performing advanced system installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting the network.

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include:

• Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems and storage networking
• Knowledgeable with IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLAN, VPN and NAT
• Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of IP, DNS, DHCP and routing protocols
• Oversee upgrades and new installs of IT systems and services

Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:                                        

• 10+ years of IT experience
• Strong experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
• Preferred certifications: CCNA
• Must have an active IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CSA+)
• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance

 Compensation for the Network Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000 **depending on experience**
