Job Summary:
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team on-site in Reston VA. The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team, leading efforts to architect, deploy, and enhance our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Azure services, cloud security principles, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), along with a passion for innovation and a drive for continuous operational improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect and manage resilient, secure, and scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Maintain optimal performance, availability, and security across cloud environments.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) to automate deployments and configurations.
- Partner with internal teams to implement hybrid cloud strategies integrating on-premises systems.
- Continuously monitor and fine-tune cloud infrastructure for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues identified during development or escalated from support teams.
- Stay informed on the latest Azure innovations and industry standards to inform strategic decisions.
- Produce and update detailed technical documentation including system designs, architecture diagrams, and testing protocols.
- Familiarity with M365, Intune, PP&C, UEM, and IAM is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud engineering or a comparable role.
- Strong understanding of Azure service models including Serverless, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Proven experience with cloud security frameworks, compliance standards, and cost management tools (e.g., Azure Policy, Security Center).
- Azure certification required (at least Azure Administrator level)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Compensation:
· Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000
