Network Technician/Administrator - Active Secret

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Secret Cleared Network Technician/Administrator to join a 24/7 networking operational environment for DoD information network (DODIN) based out of Hill Air Force Base in UT/Scott AFB in IL. The Secret Cleared Network Technician/Administrator is responsible for configuring and troubleshooting network and telecommunications devices for a DoD customer.

Location: Scott AFB, IL or Hill AFB, UT

Responsibilities of the Secret Cleared Network Technician/Administrator include:

·       Diagnose circuit issues using router commands, loops, alarms, and error indicators, along with various troubleshooting methods

·       Employ network monitoring tools to oversee, track, and resolve problems, escalating them as needed

·       Manage and update tickets using the Remedy system

·       Troubleshoot network technologies in a live, global environment

·       Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained.

·       Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, phone systems, including phone units, voicemail, switches, infrastructure, call manager systems, Video Teleconference (VTC) systems video recording/viewing/distribution systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.

·       Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices including MSPP, Promina, ATM, and Optical.

Qualifications for the Secret Cleared Network Technician/Administrator 

·       Active Secret Clearance

·       CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent

·       Experience supporting SATCOM and DoD networks

·       Experience with LAN/WAN

·       Able to work in a shift work environment

Compensation for the Secret Cleared Network Technician/Administrator:

·       Pay Rate: $55,000-$82,000+ *depending on experience and education*
